Freddie always felt as if he was neglected, all the others in the kitchen shop showroom were always being admired and talked about “look at these lovely cupboards “ he would hear and then watch as the doors were opened and closed , the soft close drawers would slowly go through their party trick as customers listened intently for the slightest sound as they shut, and then to make it all even more frustrating the sinks were gloated over and taps turned on and off as people imagined themselves washing up and getting a drink of water to quench their thirst.
AND THAT IS WHY FREDDIE FEELS LEFT OUT.
Freddie is a water filter; his job is to make the water people drink taste the best it possibly can. Crystal clear, no bad smells and no lingering after taste of Chlorine. But somehow Freddie very rarely got a look in when it came to the final choice of equipment and cupboards.
Then one day a customer mentioned how they spent a small fortune on bottled water as they didn’t like the awful taste of the tap water in their home. “Well we do have Freddie”, said the salesman, “He would just sit quietly in the cupboard under the sink and wouldn’t take up much room, he’s no trouble and quite happy to make your water taste clean and fresh for up to a year at a time.”
“Sounds great, we’ll take him” said the customer.
Freddie was over the moon and very soon was busy taking all the bad stuff out of the water and making it the best tasting water they had ever had in their house. Not only did they drink more than they used to but saved money as the bottled water was no longer needed, which in turn helped the environment.
